iOS 18.1 build 22B5034e is the official Beta 3 release of iOS 18.1, which was released to Apple developers on 28 August 2024.[1] It is only available for iPhone 15 Pro models and iPads with an M series chip.

New features and changes[edit | edit source]

  • This build introduces the Clean Up feature in the Photos app, which can be used to remove distracting objects from the background of a photo.[2]
  • Notification summarizes are now available for all apps. It was previously limited to the Messages and Mail apps only.[3]
  • Splash screens for Apple Intelligence and notification summaries has been added, which are displayed during device setup or when upgrading to this build.
  • Animations have been updated in the Music, Podcasts, TV, and Books apps when opening content.
  • In the Messages app, users are now able to place 3rd party stickers in-line with emojis.
