iOS 18.0 build 22A5316j is the official Beta 4 release of iOS 18, which was released to Apple developers on 23 July 2024.[1]
New features and changes[edit | edit source]
- The updated flashlight UI for the Dynamic Island is now available on iPhone 15 models. It was previously only available for iPhone 14 Pro and 15 Pro models.[2]
- The Camera app has a new preservation option for the "Controls Menu", which will automatically display the previously used camera tool when expanding the controls menu.
- In the Settings app, a dedicated link to the iCloud page has been added to the top menu.[3]
- AssistiveTouch has new actions for Apple Watch Mirroring and Type to Siri.
- New wallpapers for CarPlay have been added.
- The Stocks app received a new icon.
- It is now possible to use dark mode widgets in light mode.
- The design of the Hidden folder in the App Library has been updated.
- Fixed an issue regarding apps becoming muted after losing focus.
Bugs and quirks[edit | edit source]
- Brightness adjustment may fully dim the screen when waking up the device.
