Build of iOS 18 | |
iOS 18.0 build 22A3354 is the official RTM build of iOS 18, which was released to the public on 16 September 2024.[1] Prior to that, it was released seven days earlier as the official Release Candidate build to Apple developers and public beta testers.[2]
New features and changes[edit | edit source]
Repair Assistant[edit | edit source]
This build introduces Repair Assistant, which will calibrate genuine Apple replacement parts (such as batteries, displays, and camera modules) to function properly in a device.[3] Additionally, these parts will now link to the user's Apple Account and will initiate Activation Lock if installed into an unauthorized device. These changes are only available for the iPhone 12 series and later.
Camera and Photos[edit | edit source]
- The ability to pause video recordings in the Camera app has been added.[4]
- Long-pressing the flash toggle in the Camera app will now open an expanded menu displaying all options.
- In the Photos app, the playback speed of videos can now be adjusted.[5] It can either be applied to the entire video or specific clips.
Miscellaneous[edit | edit source]
The iPhone 15 Pro wallpaper set has been re-added after being removed in a previous beta.
