iOS 17.4 build 21E5195e is the official Beta 2 release of iOS 17.4, which was released to Apple developers on 6 February 2024, then to public beta testers on the next day.[1][2]

Changes[edit | edit source]

  • A new "City Digital" widget for the Clock app has been added.
  • The "Read Now" tab in the Books app has been renamed to "Home", similar to the Music app from Beta 1.
  • Privacy options for passkey access in web browsers has been added to the Settings app. However, the options for contactless payment have been removed.
  • New analytic options have been added for improving linked bank accounts in the Wallet app.
  • Identifiable region information for the user's device is no longer available.
  • Improvements have been made to transcriptions in the Podcasts app.
  • Several splash screens throughout the system have been re-worded.
