iOS 10.2 build 14C5062e is the official Beta 1 release of iOS 10.2, which was released to Apple developers on 31 October 2016, then to public beta testers on the next day.[1][2]

Camera[edit | edit source]
This build introduces the ability to preserve settings in the Camera app, such as modes and filters.
News[edit | edit source]
- During initial setup, the user is now required to select three favorite sources. Previously, it was only limited to one source.
- Articles now display a "Next up" button in the bottom toolbar.
Music[edit | edit source]
- Star ratings have been re-added to Apple Music, which can be enabled in the Settings app.[3]
- New sorting options for playlists and songs have been added.
Miscellaneous[edit | edit source]
- Several new Emojis have been added, which are apart of the Emoji 3 update.[4] Additionally, many existing designs have been updated.
- On iPhone 7 models, new wallpapers have been added which were previously shown off in marketing material.
- In the Messages app, the "Celebrate" screen effect has been added.
- Emergency contacts will now be notified if Emergency SOS is used.
- A widget for the Videos app has been added.
- A new option has been added which hides notification previews if the device is locked.
- The ability to disable the home button shortcut for Siri has been added.
- Transparency effects in 3D Touch menus have been adjusted.
