iOS 10.1 build 14B55c is the official Beta 1 release of iOS 10.1, which was released to Apple developers on 21 September 2016, then to public beta testers on the next day.[1][2]

New features and changes[edit | edit source]

  • On the iPhone 7 Plus, Portrait mode has been added to the Camera app. Portrait shots utilize the telephoto camera to add a blurred effect to the background of photos.
  • If Reduced Motion is enabled, users now have the option to prevent screen and bubble effects in iMessage from playing automatically. However, it is non-functional in this build.
