iOS 10.0 build 14A5335b is the official Beta 5 and Public Beta 4 release of iOS 10, which was released to Apple developers and public beta testers on 9 August 2016.[1]

New features and changes[edit | edit source]

  • Support for the Smart Battery Case for iPhone 6s models has been added.[2]
  • Adjustments have been made to the default home screen layout.
  • The date has been added to the widgets page on the home screen.
  • Widgets that haven't been updated to support iOS 10 are now displayed with a darker backdrop.
  • Users now have the ability to set silent alarms in the Clock app.
  • A new default wallpaper has been added to the Home app, replacing an older one from previous betas.
  • The Home section in the Settings app has been removed on iPhone and iPod touch.
  • The moisture warning for when liquid is detected in the Lightning port has been updated.
  • Several Emoji characters have been updated slightly.
  • The icons for AirPlay sources have been updated.
  • The updated lock and keyboard sounds have been finalized.
