iOS 10.0 build 14A5309d is the official Beta 3 and Public Beta 2 release of iOS 10, which was released to Apple developers on 18 July 2016, then to public beta testers a few days later.[1][2]

New features and changes[edit | edit source]

  • On iPhone 6s models, there is now haptic feedback when locking the device.[3] Additionally, a new sound has been added.
  • The ability to use an iPad as Home Hub as been added, which can be enabled in the Settings app.
  • A warning screen has been added for when moisture is detected in the Lightning port.
  • The ability to prioritize app downloads has been added.
  • In the Messages app, the photo picker will now display content in its original aspect ratio.
  • In the Photos app, there is a new share sheet option for sending content to iCloud Drive.
  • When launching the Health app for the first time, the user is asked if they want to share their activity and workout data with Apple. This can later be changed in the Diagnostics and Usage page in Settings.
  • Several UI adjustments have been made to the Music app.
  • The Siri section of the Settings app now includes an "App Support" page, which displays information on which apps work with Siri.
  • In the 3D Touch menu for app icons, the "Share" option now includes the name of the app.
  • The updated keyboard sounds have been re-added after being removed in the previous beta.
  • The "Rest Finder to Open" option for the lock screen is now functional.
  • HomeKit device icons in Control Center have been tweaked.
  • Widgets have been made wider on iPad.
  • Fixed an issue that caused audio to stop playing due to haptic feedback.
