When did Microsoft start locking down features in Windows Insider builds?

I have heard that more recent Windows Insider builds have unfinshed features that are often locked by systems such as Velocity and they only unlock them when they reach a state where the features are nearly finshed such as the New Task Manager in Windows 11 Nickel builds.

I do know that early Insider builds of Windows 10 did not contain lockdown systems so it was easy to find features that were clearly unfinshed.

What was the first Insider build of Windows 10 to utilize feature lockdown systems like Velocity? I think that a section regarding this should be added to the FAQ.

By the way, The FAQ is looking very great so far. I think that this will help a lot of people that often run into trouble when they test various Windows builds.

Perhaps when sets is announced in Windows 10.I remember that when Build 17618 released, there is a number of insiders claim that the feature has not been seen in their device. Or perhaps earlier than this? I don't know clearly.MakiAdmin (talk) 13:08, 18 May 2022 (UTC)

Partition size limited to 504 MB

Even this is not true, this bug affected all Award BIOS with the copyright date of 1994 and earlier and also some from 1995. This was fixed with a version of the Award BIOS from 1995. I do not know if AMI (perhaps all before the 1994 WinBIOS 486) and Phoenix (perhaps all before 1994 or 1995) were also affected from, but I will check that when I am returning to 86Box. - 88.68.117.98 23:23, 30 June 2022 (UTC)

Typo

Builds with a Slate-themed setup has the option to create and format a new partition with the New and Format options.

Shouldn't it be: "Builds with a Slate-themed setup have the option to create and format a new partition with the New and Format options." - 2.204.219.209 20:12, 25 February 2023 (UTC)
