Windows Server 2022 build 20282 is a preview build of Windows Server 2022 released on 14 January 2021.
- The release branch has been changed from
fe_release_server
to simply fe_release
as with late builds of the client version.
- The available SKUs are now only distributed as installation options in the LTSC image.
- Server Core Configuration Tool (SConfig) now starts by default.
- The default command-line tool is now PowerShell, though it still identifies as Command Prompt in the title bar.
winver
now uses the Windows Server 2019 branding instead of just "Windows Server".
