Windows Media Player 9 build 2799 is the official Beta build of Windows Media Player 9, which was released by Microsoft on 4 September 2002.[1]

    • It now has a Windows logo at the left side.
    • The navy colored gradient has been removed from the status indicator and was changed to solid black.
