Windows Media Player 10 build 3458 is a build of Windows Media Player 10, which is pre-installed in Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005 Beta 2.

New features and changes[edit | edit source]

  • This version is now compatible with the RTM version of Media Center 2005, with video playback working in the aforementioned application.
  • The texture of the user interface has been updated to resemble the RTM.
  • The main skin of Windows Media Player 9 Series has been removed from wmploc.dll
  • The online store tabs are now updated from Microsoft's server instead of hardcoded Music, TV, Movies like in build 3409. As of 2025 it only shows Bing.

Bugs and quirks[edit | edit source]

  • The playlist has a padding at the top and the total duration is not displayed at the bottom. It can be temporarily fixed by resizing the playlist, but it the bug will occur again when going to other tabs and returning back to Now Playing or restarting the application.
