Bugs and quirks[edit | edit source]
Installation issues[edit | edit source]
Source directory[edit | edit source]
Some copies of this build have the source directory name in lower case instead of upper case (win98
), which makes the directory inaccessible under MS-DOS. To install with such a copy, you need to either upgrade from an older build, copy the installation files to the hard disk beforehand, or create a new disc image with the correct directory name. A fixed copy is available on BetaArchive which doesn't have this problem.
Missing CAB[edit | edit source]
WIN98_25.CAB
is missing, so WaveTop TV cannot be installed, as WAVETOP.CAB
is split across CABs 23 to 26.
Explorer[edit | edit source]
If reaching a system folder which is hidden to protect system files, the warning and link to show these files will occasionally not show up. Pressing F5 will resolve this.
