Windows 3.1 RC3f is mentioned in an internal Microsoft document from February 1992.[1] It is part of the Release Candidate stage and, like other RC builds, is not referred to by its actual build number, but is instead simply called "RC3f" everywhere.

According to the document, several third-party applications were tested on this build. Additionally, the following issues with this build were observed:

*GDI.EXE - Bug# 15236 - RemoveFontResource font file not found
KRNL - Basically, if you only have 260-330K free on any 1 MB system, Setup might die
 WRITE.EXE - OLE 1.0 OleActivate call, #15437
*WIN386.EXE - Bug# 15304, Problem with FoxPro, random pointer in VMM
SETUP.EXE minor change to wording for new /C switch (don't do TSR detection)
WTKFILE.EXE - File manager change for Novell net folders, take out net icon on folder
GENDRV.DLL - Fixes for IPG. Color matching on a pe printer
MCISEQ.DRV - mmbug 6515, Executing MIDI sequencer get info command causes crash
