New features and changes[edit | edit source]
- You can now recover your PIN and password from the lock screen. This works with Azure Active Domain and Microsoft accounts.
- Slight improvements to the acrylic material that's used in Fluent Design.
- Changed the layout of the GPU section in Task Manager. The GPU name is now shown on the left-hand side of the Performance tab for each GPU. Multi-engine view is now the default, which shows performance monitors for the four most active GPU engines. The default charts are for the 3D, Copy, Video Encode and Video Decode engines. The total of GPU memory used is now a text counter located next to the dedicated and shared text counters at the bottom of the Performance tab. The DirectX version part now reports the highest supported DirectX feature level.
- Microsoft Edge processes now have their labels to be made more clear.
- Various improvements to Mixed Reality, which are detailed in the release announcement.
- Added two new links to the Delivery Optimization page in Settings. These are advanced options, where the user can configure various download and upload settings, as well as an activity monitor.
Bugs[edit | edit source]
- IMAP email accounts such as Gmail and Yahoo may not sync in the Mail app in this build.
- Using the dictation hotkey (⊞ Win+H) in UWP apps won't work. The UI will briefly appear and then disappear. Using the microphone in the touch keyboard will still work.
- Sometimes the Copy link option displayed in Microsoft Edge will not work.
- After upgrading to this build, some network settings are lost and thus are reverted to the default settings.
- If the display scaling is higher than 100%, a bug may be encountered where the hit targeting is offset when you interact with various parts of the shell.
- Windows Defender Security Center can't be used to configure and list items for controlled folder access, threat history and exclusions due to it crashing the UI.
