New features[edit | edit source]
- Microsoft Edge data persistence has been added to allow users to keep their data across Microsoft Edge WDAG sessions. This feature can be enabled by changing the Windows Components > Windows Defender Application Guard group policy.
- Exploit protection has been added to Windows Defender.
- Controlled Folder Access has been added to Windows Defender.
- Other general changes, improvements, and fixes listed in the official release announcement.
- The Windows Problem Reporting dialog box now says "Windows is opening a portal to another dimension" as a placeholder for a new message.[1][2]
Bugs and quirks[edit | edit source]
- The update process to this build may fail with error code 0x80070643 and it rolls back to the previous build as a result.
- The battery status may not update on certain laptops.
- Some built-in apps have a chance of displaying a name like “ms-resource:” at the bottom of the Start menu. The affected app will still launch like normal.
- Xbox Live in-game experiences may fail to load on this build.
- Doing a PC reset causes the device to be thrown into an endless bootloop. The only workaround is to reinstall Windows.
- Task Manager has a chance of hanging on launch on this build.
