Windows 10 build 16184 is the fourth Insider Preview build of Windows 10 Fall Creators Update. This build was released to Windows Insiders in the Fast Ring on 28 April 2017.

New features[edit | edit source]

  • Introduced My People. This feature allows users to pin their contacts on the taskbar and to choose the app they want to chat with and to view multiple communications apps together and filtered to each contact on the taskbar.
  • Added integration with Gmail accounts in the Mail and Calendar apps.
  • Start menu now uses the XAML scrollbar style.

Bugs[edit | edit source]

  • PC reset does not work on this build.
  • Double-clicking on the Windows Defender icon in the system tray does not open it. Right-clicking on the icon and choosing Open will bring up Windows Defender.
  • If you're using a Surface Pro 3 or Surface 3 device, you can't update to this build unless you remove the SD card.
  • Selecting items listed in Windows Ink Workspace's Recently used section will crash and restart explorer.exe.
  • The candidate window may not appear if you're using Chinese IMEs, such as Traditional Chinese Changjie, Quick IME or the Simplified Chinese IMEs if you are typing in certain apps. If the spacebar is pressed, the first candidate will be finalized. The number keys will not finalize any other candidate. If the candidate required is not the first one, you have to enter the desired text into an app where the candidate window appears, such as Notepad.
  • Navigating to Settings, then to Update & security, and then going to the Windows Update section has a chance of crashing the Settings app.
  • On some Win32 apps, the Save dialog is broken.
  • Localized apps on x64 localized versions of this build don't work.
  • Action Center can sometimes be glitchy when opened.
