Windows 10 Mobile build 15051 is an Insider Preview build of Windows 10 Mobile Creators Update, which was released to Windows Insiders in the Fast ring on 8 March 2017, then to Slow ring users on 10 March 2017.[1] This build was also released to the Windows Update server as an update from an existing version of Windows 10 Mobile and as a delta for build 15031.[2]

Changes, improvements, and fixes[edit | edit source]

  • An issue is fixed resulting in certain inbox apps, such as Calculator, Outlook Mail, Outlook Calendar, Groove Music, no longer being present on the system after a hard reset.
  • An issue is fixed resulting in Groove Music not resuming playback after ending a phone call if the app became suspended during the call.
  • An issue is fixed where periodically attaching larger photos to a message in Messaging wouldn’t work.
  • An issue is fixed from recent flights where, in certain apps, if users had selected editable text and pressed Shift on the keyboard, the keyboard would crash.
  • An issue is fixed impacting certain UWP apps using pivots, such as the News app, where the pivot control could end up becoming offset after quickly swiping through the pivots.
  • An issue is fixed where asking Cortana to read a text message over Bluetooth with many back to back emoji would result in high pitched distorted noise.
  • An issue is fixed where after upgrading some Insiders were unexpectedly seeing the full QWERTY keyboard on the lock screen instead of the pin pad.

Known issues[edit | edit source]

  • A bug has discovered that causes background tasks to not run in the background like they should such as OneDrive’s camera roll sync feature.
  • If user's device experiences an unexpected reboot, in some cases users may lose their call, text, and email history may be lost.
  • Speech packs may be unable to download on this build.
  • Some pages are constantly reloading or refreshing, especially while they are in the middle of scrolling them in Microsoft Edge.
