Windows 10 Mobile build 14946 is the fifth Insider Preview build of Windows 10 Mobile Creators Update, which was released to Windows Insiders in the Fast ring on 13 October 2016.[1] This build was also released to the Windows Update server as an update from an existing version of Windows 10 Mobile and as a delta for build 14945.[2]
What’s new[edit | edit source]
- Separate screen time-out settings when using Continuum for Phone.
- Updated Wi-Fi Settings page.
- Option to prevent autocorrection.
- Option to remove a word from user dictionary.
- Expanding to text prediction to more languages.
- Changed to automatic backups of user's phone.
Other improvements and fixes[edit | edit source]
- An issue is fixed causing user to get into a state where text messages will fail to send.
- When user's phone is connected to a PC, long lists of captured photos will now load significantly faster in File Explorer.
- The Narrator’s reading order has been updated for Windows 10 apps which display an app bar on the bottom of the app.
- An issue is fixed resulting in video thumbnails sometimes not being shown in WhatsApp – videos received from this build onwards will display a thumbnail.
- An issue is fixed resulting in Camera app video recordings having a slight crackle to their audio in recent builds.
Known issues[edit | edit source]
- If user's phone has additional speech packs installed – this build will fail to install on user's phone with an 0x80188319 error.
