Windows 10 Mobile build 14936 is the fourth Insider Preview build of Windows 10 Mobile Creators Update, which was released to Windows Insiders in the Fast Ring on 28 September 2016[1]. It's available as an update from an existing version of Windows 10 Mobile, as well as delta packages for builds 14933 and 14935.[2]

Bug fixes[edit | edit source]

Several issues from the previous builds have been fixed, namely the PIN pad refusing to show up in some cases, some phones being unable to use SIM cards, mobile hotspots breaking after the first use, Lumia 650s being unable to update to a new build with the error code 0x80188308 (E_INSUFFICIENT_SPACE_FOR_UPDATE).

The update will now also no longer fail with the error code 0x800703ed (ERROR_UNRECOGNIZED_VOLUME).

The Action Center can now be closed by swiping on its blank area. It will also no longer show the app logo within the notification.

Devices that shipped with Windows Phone 8.1 will no longer face an issue where plugging in headsets during ongoing calls would cause the audio to not be routed to the headset.

Known issues[edit | edit source]

If the default install location is set to the SD card, some apps like WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger and WeChat will fail to install. The workaround is to set the location to the internal storage.

In some cases, the phone may get into a state where text messages may fail to send, however it will still be able to receive them. The workaround is to reboot the phone.
