Windows 10 Mobile build 14905 is the first Insider Preview build of Windows 10 Mobile Creators Update, which was released to Windows Insiders in the Fast Ring on 17 August 2016.[1] It's available as an update from an existing version of Windows 10 Mobile and as delta packages for builds 14393.67 and 14904.[2]

New features and changes[edit | edit source]

  • A new set of system sounds has been added starting with this build.
  • Inline options to call back, text and to create a reminder have been added to missed call notifications.

Other improvements and fixes[edit | edit source]

  • Videos played in Windows Phone 8 apps will now consistently pause when receiving calls.
  • Contacts being called will now no longer see a blocked caller ID if the "Show my called ID" option is set to "My contacts."
  • The Lock screen will now update properly after a timezone change.

Bugs and quirks[edit | edit source]

  • Moving apps between the internal storage and a SD card (in either direction) will cause them to get stuck in a pending state. In order to fix it, the user has to uninstall the affected app via the System > Storage menu, and then re-install it.
  • Cortana's text to speech capabilities are not working in this build.
