Windows 10 Mobile build 11098 is a pre-release build of Windows 10 Mobile Anniversary Update, which was released to beta testers via the Windows Update servers as an update from Windows Phone 8.1, an existing version of Windows 10 Mobile, and as a delta for build 11096.[1]
This build brings major updates to Outlook applications.
New features and changes[edit | edit source]
Outlook Calendar[edit | edit source]
The option to show weather information while viewing the calendar was added to the Outlook Calendar application. Due to this, a new Weather Settings applet has been added to the settings of the application, which can be used to change between the Celsius and Fahrenheit temperature scale. The application will now also ask the user for permission to use their location.
The Accounts setting located in the dropdown of the menu bar has had its name modified to say "Manage accounts".
Alongside the Day and Week view options, the Calendar can now be sorted via the current Month.
When adding an event to the Calendar, the options located in the dropdown of the menu bar are now seperated. The icon for saving has also been modified to be a floppy diskette.
When viewing events, the edit option, which was previously located in the dropdown of the menu bar, has been moved to the menu bar itself. Similiarly, a new label is also present on each event, which specifies the calendar the event was made in.
If an event was made on the same date that is currently set on the phone or the day after it, the date in the event will no longer specify the full day, month and year, and will instead simply say "Today" or "Tommorow".
When the trash button is pressed on an event, a secondary "Delete event" button must now be clicked alongside it.
Clicking on the day and month will no longer result in the Add Event menu popping up.
Outlook Mail[edit | edit source]
A new "Link inboxes" option has been added to the Manage accounts applet, which allows the user to link inboxes from different accounts and view all messages from those accounts in one inbox. The "Add account" option located in the same applet is now also no longer present on a white background, and is instead fully transparent.
All options previously located within the "Options" applet have been seperated into their own applets, which include Quick Actions, Automatic Replies, Signature, Notifications, Conversation and Email security.
Similarly to the Outlook Calendar app, the "Accounts" setting has been renamed to "Manage accounts". The "Start" in the "Pin to start" option is now also capitalized.
Phone[edit | edit source]
The Phone application has been updated from version 2.12.15004.0 to 2.13.3001.0.
