Windows 10 Mobile build 10549.4 is an Insider Preview build of Windows 10 Mobile. It was released to Windows Insiders in Fast Ring on 14 October 2015[1]. This build can be downloaded and installed from Microsoft[2].
New features and changes[edit | edit source]
- Lumia Camera is no longer uninstalled when upgrading from Windows Phone 8.1 in a Lumia 1020 device.
- Vibrate-only alarms are re-added.
- Pinch-to-zoom works correctly in Maps app.
- Windows Camera app no longer crashes when certain applications launch this app to take a picture.
Cortana[edit | edit source]
Cortana now is now usable in Japanese, English (Canada) and English (Australia).
Messaging[edit | edit source]
- Messaging app's textbox is updated to expand as the user types text on it. Before that, it only supported 2 or 3 lines which made it hard to see what the user types.
- Integration of Skype capabilities.
Diverse emojis[edit | edit source]
Support for diverse emojis are added. This capability was already added to Windows 10 build 10547 before getting mobile support.
