The Windows 1.0 September 1985 builds were several sets of builds of Windows 1.0 that turned up on the Japanese marketplace site Mercari on 8 November 2020,[1] and were later sold a couple months later in January 2021. The buyer of these disks is unknown, meaning these are currently lost.
Among the various sets of disks seen in the photos were disks with these labels:
- 09-09-1985 Beta Release (Desktop Applications disk)
- 09-25-1985 Retail Beta Release (date is crossed out, meaning it was possibly overwritten at some point)
- 09-30-1985 Retail Beta Release
