=About me

Hello, I'm Vermont. I generally do anti-vandalism work around here.

Some user pages tell their life story or reveal all sorts of interesting details about themselves, whilst others define their interests and values. I want to do neither, because I do not want to tempt the reader to stereotype me — so a few boxes to the right is all you get.

Vermont is my username. I began contributing to BetaWiki in 2018. After a few weeks of vandal fighting, discussing and patrolling new pages, and assisting new editors, I have done over 10 edits on BetaWiki. My goal is to continuously apply the knowledge and experience I've gained throughout my life in order to help improve BetaWiki.

If you're not on IRC, you'll typically run into me through Huggle, AIV, RFPP, UAA, or in various other places where vandalism and trolling is taking place. I've been vandal patrolling for over 1 day now. I started in 2018 by performing each revert and leaving warnings completely manually. I started using Twinkle and Lupin's tool, and eventually found myself using other tools. People often ask me why I spend so much time doing it. The answer is simple: I enjoy it. Everyone on BetaWiki should be volunteering in places they enjoy. Otherwise, what's the point? :-)
