Favourite Operating Systems[edit | edit source]
- Windows 10: This is one of my favourites. I like the way Microsoft made it easier to get hold of beta builds by signing up to the Windows Insider Program.
- Windows 7: I've always liked this OS too; I've used it a lot in the past and it is better than Windows 8.
- ReactOS: Nice OS based on old Windows versions such as Windows 95.
- Ubuntu: I use this Linux distribution sometimes. In my opinion, it can be good to replace Windows XP on an old computer that doesn't support newer versions of Windows.
- Lubuntu: Lightweight version of Ubuntu that's suitable for older hardware.
- Windows 95: Wonderful startup sound that makes me feel relaxed.
Worst Operating Systems[edit | edit source]
- Windows ME: Buggy version of Windows that was only supported for six years.
- Windows 8: No start button, more optimised for tablets than it was for PCs.
- Windows RT: Looks just like Windows 8, but you can only get stuff from the Windows Store.
- Ubuntu 5.04: Never managed to install it in VirtualBox because of the partitioner during setup.
To-do list[edit | edit source]
- Run Windows Whistler 2287 in VirtualBox
- Run Windows Longhorn 3683 in QEMU
- Run ReactOS in QEMU on my Raspberry Pi 3
- Run Raspbian (the officially recommended OS for the RPi) in QEMU
