About The Display Resolution of BOOTMGR[edit source]

Here's my finding about BOOTMGR's display resolution on some device.

I have an Acer Aspire One D270 netbook. When using it, I noticed that the BOOTMGR will display in 800×600 resolution on the netbook's internal display (1024×600). But when connected to an external display, it will display in 1024×768 as on other devices.

In my mind, this finding shows that 1024×768 is not the only graphical mode that the BOOTMGR can output.

I'm not sure how to write it in the page, and I don't know if it is notable, so I decided to write it in the talk page.

yeah, it can use several different resolutions (and that can be configured by a BCD element too) 2.102.38.102 18:06, 21 May 2023 (UTC)
Maybe there is even an option to force Windows Boot Manager to be displayed in text-mode only, like it was the case in early Vista builds or when the graphics card is not able to display it in graphical mode. This can be seen when you install Vista or 7 on 86Box with the „(ISA) VGA“ display option. - Windows logo (2003).svg Bob2204 Arrow.png Click here to begin. Or here.
