Talk:Windows 8 build 7985 (fbl core1 kernel cptx.110503-1501)
A few questions[edit source]
Some strange things about this build.
1. This build contains a fully-functional Start screen with applications from Build 8102. However, the first few builds after its compile date don't contain the same Start screen or the apps. Maybe the Metro components were a pre-made version, but why Microsoft removed them in the future builds?
2. This build must be based on Build 7985.0 leaked in June 2022. But why did it have rounded corners on desktop windows?
Plus: I found that builds on a demo like 7867, 7900 and 8175.0 on CES 2011&2012, builds 8165 and 8309, etc. on MSDN Building Windows 8 blog are less likely to be leaked or only their alternative compiles can be shared online. So I think that Microsoft must have greater efforts to prevent these builds from leaking online but I'm not quite sure. :) MicrosoftRTX2080 (talk) 13:35, 25 July 2022 (UTC)
