openSUSE 10.2

openSUSE 10.2 is a version of openSUSE, released on 7 December 2006. It was codenamed "Basilisk Lizard". It is the first version to be named openSUSE instead of SUSE Linux to avoid confusion because of the SUSE Linux Enterprise operating system, which was mainly designed for workstations and servers. It is also the first version to use ext3 as the default file system instead of ReiserFS since SuSE Linux 6.4. It shipped with Linux kernel 2.6.18.2, GNOME 2.16.0 and KDE 3.5.5.
