Microsoft Office 2013 build 3612 is the official Technical Preview build of Microsoft Office 2013, which was released to Microsoft partners on 30 January 2012 under a non-disclosure agreement.[1] The software would later be revealed to the public on 23 February 2012.[2]
New features and changes[3][edit | edit source]
- The Metro design language has been expanded across the entire user interface.
- The Start screen has been added.
- The Ribbon is now minimized by default across all applications.
- The user's Windows Live ID will now be displayed on the Ribbon.
- The "Design" Ribbon tab has been added to Word.
- Backstage view no longer displays the Ribbon tabs.
- Applications can now be taken into full screen mode, which completely hides the Ribbon.
- Touch Mode has been added, which optimizes the UI for Tablets.
- Files can now be saved to SkyDrive (later known as OneDrive).
