OS/2 2.00 build 6F.167 is a beta build of OS/2 2.0, which was distributed in October 1991 at the Fall Comdex.[1] This build is often mistakenly referred to as the "Limited Availability" release of OS/2 2.0; the actual LA release is build 6H.177.
Bugs and quirks[edit | edit source]
Opening a DOS or Win-OS/2 session causes the system to crash.
New features and changes[edit | edit source]
- This build replaces the Desktop Manager with the new object-oriented Workplace Shell that resembles Windows 3.1x.
- This is the first build to include a graphical boot screen, though it is different than the final one.
