Mac System Software 6.0.3 is a version of Mac System Software 6.x which was released in December 1988 and is the first version to include support for Macintosh SE/30 and IIcx computers. This version includes bug fixes for Apple File Exchange and Time Manager. New York 18 and 24 fonts were also removed in this version.
This version also adds support for the British English, Danish, Dutch, Faeroese, Finnish, Norwegian, Persian, Portuguese, Simplified Chinese, Spanish, Swedish, and Traditional Chinese languages.
The original Macintosh Classic contains a minimal copy of System 6.0.3 in its ROM, which can be accessed by holding ⌘ Command+⌥ Option+X+O during boot. The key combination is in reference to the Classic's code name, XO, and the "Boot Disk" partition is described as it is "hiding inside this machine".
