Mac OS X Tiger build 8N5107 is a special build of Mac OS X Tiger 10.4.7 that came preinstalled with the first model of Apple TVs. Being compiled much later than other 10.4.7 builds, this was a heavily stripped down, restricted, and modified version of the operating system.[1] Despite this, enthusiasts have managed to both get the regular desktop version installed on the device due to its Pentium M CPU powering the device;[2] as well as vice-versa, installing this build on both compatible Intel Macs and Hackintosh machines alike.[3]
