Mac OS X Tiger build 8A162 is the earliest known build of Mac OS X Tiger. This build was demoed at and released to attendees of WWDC in 2004. The server version of this build has been set to expire on 31 March 2005.
New features and changes[edit | edit source]
- Spotlight, a built-in search system that integrates into various apps, was introduced in this build.
- The Dashboard has been introduced in this build. It's a screen containing various widgets, and it can be opened and closed at any time.
- The Automator scripting utility is introduced with this build. App-specific workflows can be run from the menu bar.
