Boot screen[edit | edit source]
The Boot screen was updated. The "8.7" number is now blue instead of purple, while also being a bit bigger.
Control Panel[edit | edit source]
The Energy Saver applet has had it's Advanced Settings portion overhauled, with only one Sleep Option remaining. The Network Connections options were renamed to Wake Options, while Additional Power Savings were renamed to Other Options. However, all the aftermentioned options still contain placeholder checkboxes. File Sharing has also received minor changes, with a "Enable File Sharing clients to connect over TCP/IP" option, and the About being slightly tweaked, with it being smaller and the text having a shadow. The Keyboard applet introduced a new "Function Keys..." option, allowing for individual function keys to be mapped. The Mutltiple Users applet also received a new icon.
Sherlock II[edit | edit source]
The Sherlock window has been made shorter.

Stability[edit | edit source]
This build is very unstable and tends to be extremely buggy after a while, especially because of it's Finder program. It can be as simple as opening a disk partition, opening Control Panel applets, launching applications or even leaving the system alone for a couple of seconds.

The installer files identify themselves as "8.7b3c3".
Control Panel[edit | edit source]
Extensions Manager does not function properly, instead hanging or crashing the system if opened.
