macOS Sierra build 16F5049f is a factory testing build of macOS Sierra 10.12.5. It was leaked onto a Discord server in the form of an operating system disk image dump on 30 October 2023, and subsequently uploaded onto the Internet Archive the same day.[1]
The build notably contains development tools used for testing hardware functionality on newly-manufactured and refurbished Mac computers (including extended validation (EV) units).
