macOS Monterey build 21C5021h is the official Beta 1 release of macOS Monterey 12.1, which was released to Apple developers on 28 October 2021[1] then to public beta testers one day later.[2] This build is the first to support Navi 23-based graphics cards (RX 6600 / 6600 XT / 6600M / 6700S / 6800S).[3] It is also the first build to include the SharePlay feature which was absent in the initial release of the operating system. This build does not boot on pre-Ivy Bridge processors due to a kernel RDRAND requirement, which was implemented starting with Ivy Bridge processors and newer. [4] This was reverted with the next build.
