Linux Mint 6 is a version of Linux Mint, which was released to the public on 15 December 2008. It is based on Ubuntu 8.10.

This release adds the new Software Manager. It also adds FTP support in mintUpload and "mint4win", a Windows installer. It introduces tabs to the file manager, Nautilus.

This is the earliest release of Linux Mint to use the string "Menu" rather than the release codename on the start panel button.
