iOS 17.0 build 21A5268h is the official Beta 2 release of iOS 17, which was released to Apple developers on 21 June 2023.[1]
New features and changes[edit | edit source]
- The ability to initiate NameDrop and AirDrop transfers by holding two devices near each other has been added.[2] These features were announced at WWDC but weren't available in Beta 1.
- An option to disable notifications while in StandBy mode has been added.[3] Notifications classified as "critical" will still be displayed.
- When sending a message using Siri, there is now an option to change which app it is being sent through.[4]
- A new "Fast" option has been added for Haptic Touch.[5]
- Several new Clock and Music widget options have been added.
- The duration of Crossfade in the Music app can now be adjusted.
- The user's Contact Poster can now be customized directly from the Phone app.
- The default browsing profile in Safari is now labeled "Personal". This can only be seen if another profile has been created.
- In the Shortcuts app, the UI for creating an Automation for transactions has been redesigned.
- The Settings app now includes a dedicated page for the Fitness app.
- New wallpapers for CarPlay have been added.
