iOS 17.0 build 21A329 is the official RTM build of iOS 17, which was released to the public on 18 September 2023.[1] Prior to that, it was released six days earlier as the official Release Candidate build to Apple developers and public beta testers.[2]

New features and changes[edit | edit source]

  • The Grid Forecast feature for the Home app has been added, which informs the user if their home is being powered from clean energy sources.[3]
  • The focus and depth of a portrait photo can now be edited after it has been taken.
  • ProRAW photos can now be taken using the HEIF image format.
  • Several new ringtones and text tones have been added.[4]
  • UI adjustments have been made to the "Sounds & Haptics" section of the Settings app.
