iOS 16.2 build 20C65 is the official RTM build of iOS 16.2, which was released to the public on 13 December 2022.[1] Prior to that, it was released six days earlier as the official Release Candidate build to Apple developers and public beta testers.[2]

New features and changes[edit | edit source]

  • Apple Music Sing, a karaoke-like feature, has been added to the Music app.[3] It is only available for devices with the A13 chip or newer (excluding the 2nd generation iPhone SE).
  • Advanced Data Protection has been added, which provides end-to-end encryption to several iCloud services.[4]
  • AirDrop will now automatically disable the "Everyone" option after 10 minutes.[5]
