iOS 16.2 build 20C5032e is the official Beta 1 release of iOS 16.2, which was released to Apple developers on 25 October 2022, then to public beta testers a few days later.[1][2]
New features and changes[edit | edit source]
- Freeform, a collaborative whiteboard app first announced at WWDC, has been added.[3]
- On iPadOS, external display support for Stage Manager has been re-added. It is only available for M1 and M2 devices.
- Apple News integration has been added to the Weather app.
- A new Sleep widget for the Lock Screen has been added.
- The "Favorite Artists" section in the Music app is now displayed as a list.
- The frequency in which Live Activities are updated can now be adjusted.[4]
- Users can now report inaccurate Visual Lookup results and accidental Emergency SOS calls directly to Apple.
- Reliability improvements have been made to the Home app.
