New features and changes[edit | edit source]
- Added the Communication Safety feature in the Messages app.
- Added the ability to use the Hide My Email feature available to iCloud+ subscribers on the Mail app.
- Added Legacy Contacts, a feature that was originally supposed to be included in the initial release, but was later postponed. It allows users to access deceased people's Apple IDs and personal information.
- Added the Items That Can Track Me feature to the Find My app. If enabled, the Unknown Items scans nearby objects and notifies users if a device is present that belongs to someone else.
- Introduced the Help Return Lost Items feature, which scans for lost devices nearby. If one is found, a notification appears advising users on how to find the owner of the lost device.
- Added a toggle for Macro mode on the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max if Auto Macro is disabled in the form of a flower icon on the bottom left of the screen.
