iOS 14.2 build 18B5052h is the official Beta 1 release of iOS 14.2, which was released to Apple developers on 17 September 2020, then to public beta testers a few days later.[1][2]

New features and changes[edit | edit source]

  • The Music Recognition toggle for Control Center has been added.
  • The Now Playing widget in Control Center has been redesigned to show larger album art. In addition, it will now display ‌recomendations from Apple Music‌ if audio isn't being actively played.
  • Media controls on the lock screen have been made larger.
  • The AirPlay dialog has been redesigned.
  • Headphone Safety notifications and health data have been added.
  • People detection has been added to the Magnifier app.
  • The Watch app icon has been updated slightly.
