iOS 14.0 build 18A5319i is the official Beta 2 and Public Beta 1 release of iOS 14, which was released to Apple developers on 7 July 2020, then to public beta testers a few days later.[1][2]
New features and changes[edit | edit source]
- A widget for the Files app has been added.
- A larger sized Photos widget has been added.
- The "Add Widget" button now matches the color of the icon.
- Apps can now be deleted directly from the App Library.
- Control Center will now display if an app recently used the device's camera or microphone.
- HomeKit favorites listed in the Control Center have been made larger.
- Media controls in the Music app will now provide haptic feedback when pressed.
- An option to disable animated album art in Apple Music has been added.
- The option to disable Apple Music in the Music app has been removed.
- Lists in the Reminders app can now use emoji icons.
- Congestion toll alerts will now be displayed in the Maps app.
- The Calendar app icon now abbreviates the day of the week.
- The option to open .shortcuts files in the Shortcuts app has been removed.
- A new warning has been added for connecting to Wi-Fi networks that don't use a Private Wi-Fi Address.
- The Family Sharing icon in Settings has been updated.
