IBM OS/2 1.0 revision 4.41 is a build of OS/2 1.0. It is an updated version of FOOTBALL revision 7.68.17. Only the debug version of this build is available on a disk image that was installed on 23 December 1987.

Bugs and quirks[edit | edit source]

286 processors[edit | edit source]

This build does not boot on 286 processors, as it jumps into invalid code upon booting after the processor check, resulting in a system crash.

Booting[edit | edit source]

This build requires a debugger connected to COM2 in order to boot, as the boot waits for input from the debugger in order to continue booting. Without a debugger, the boot will simply hang. It is unknown if any known hypervisors are able to boot the build.

To boot this build, enter the "g" command on the debugger, although it can crash on some configurations with a general protection fault.

Slack space[edit | edit source]

The slack space of this disk contains remnants of an older build of OS/2 dated 30 November 1987, which was likely overwritten with this build on 23 December 1987.
