IBM OS/2 1.0 revision 4.41
|Build of OS/2 1.0|
Bugs and quirks[edit | edit source]
286 processors[edit | edit source]
This build does not boot on 286 processors, as it jumps into invalid code upon booting after the processor check, resulting in a system crash.
Booting[edit | edit source]
This build requires a debugger connected to COM2 in order to boot, as the boot waits for input from the debugger in order to continue booting. Without a debugger, the boot will simply hang. It is unknown if any known hypervisors are able to boot the build.
Even though the "g" command allows the build to boot to the boot screen, there is no known way to get past the boot screen, as the build breaks into a debugger again and entering "g" again causes a general protection fault crash.
