Fedora 18

Fedora 18 is a version of Fedora, released on 15 January 2013 under the codename "Spherical Cow".

New features and changes[edit | edit source]

This version of Fedora notably features an overhauled installer that addresses much of the initial shortcomings provided by the older installer, which included (but were not limited to) a rapidly aging infrastructure that became less optimized over time and a largely outdated wizard-based user interface. The new installer is based on a modular codebase and features a redesigned user interface that is intended to replace the older wizard-based installation method, which features a hub that allows the user to select which optional packages to install by means of multiple category pages.
