Win32s is an addon for Windows 3.1x that allows running simple Win32 applications on the otherwise 16-bit operating system by the means of 32-bit to 16-bit call thunking. The name Win32s stands for "Win32 subset", as it does not support the full set of the Win32 API as implemented on Windows NT.
