Domain/OS is an operating system developed by Apollo Computer Inc. for their line of Apollo/Domain workstations. It was launched on 27 March 1981 as AEGIS and was later renamed to Domain/OS in 1988. Hewlett-Packard supported the OS after the company purchased Apollo but was discontinued in the mid-1990s in favor of HP-UX, with Domain/OS 10.4 being the final major version, released in March 1992. Final support for Domain/OS ended on 1 January 2001.
Domain/OS is based on BSD and Unix System V.
