Subject: A day in history

Today at 3pm we received the first AMD64 K8 based hardware system from AMD.

Today at 5pm we booted and are running the 64-bit versions of Windows XP on the AMD64 K8 system.

We are even running 32-bit apps under wow64!

The hardware system is unbelievably solid for a chip that just popped out of the oven a mere month ago.

In addition to running the 64-bit system we can dual boot into the 32-bit version of XP as well on the very same hardware without any changes!

Thanks are due to a great many people for their help and support in making this happen.

Watch this space for more news coming soon!

This accomplishment is a testimonial to great planning and execution by the entire Hammer team. We have a long way to go, but this is truly a major milestone in the hammer program. Thank you and congradulations to everyone who made this possible.
